The latest flagship model from Apple, packed with cutting-edge features and performance enhancements. We can all agree that the features inside an iPhone are what matter, but iPhone’s mostly users still care a lot about how my phone looks. The highly anticipated unveiling of Apple’s next iPhone is fast approaching. For weeks, speculation has been building about what the upcoming model—In 2025, we’re expecting four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the brand-new a sleeker iPhone 17 “Air” including a redesigned camera system, new color options, ProMotion display for all models, and Upgraded selfie camera. The official launch is expected on September 3 or 9.
Here’s everything about iPhone 17
iPhone 17 Design & Display: The iPhone 17 might be getting a significant design overhaul, particularly on the back of the device. Currently, on the iPhone 16 Pro, the rear cameras are placed in a square array in the upper-left corner. However, leaked rumor images indicate that Apple might extend this array across the entire length of the iPhone 17 Pro.

While the lenses will still be arranged in a triangular pattern in the left corner, additional sensors will be positioned on the opposite side of the phone. This design resembles the horizontal camera bar seen on Google’s Pixel 9 series, although the renders show a thicker camera bar on Apple’s model.
The iPhone 17 Air is also said to feature an entirely new design. While there haven’t been any official reports confirming this, it’s important to note that at least three out of the four iPhone models expected this year are rumored to come with completely fresh designs.
Redesigned Camera Bump: There are whispers of a major redesign for the camera system, potentially making the bump less pronounced and incorporating new sensor layouts. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro will come with a 48MP zoom lens, making it the third 48MP rear camera sensor on the device. However, this upgrade might come with a trade-off in zoom capabilities, as reports indicate.

An improved Telephoto lens offering up to 8× optical zoom, a step up from the 5× optical zoom available on the iPhone 16 Pro models. This lens is said to be adjustable, enabling continuous optical zoom across different focal lengths.
The new lens would offer a 3.5x optical zoom, compared to the 5x zoom on the iPhone 16 Pro.
Higher Refresh Rate: Speculation suggests that Apple could increase the display’s refresh rate, possibly pushing past the current 120Hz on Pro models, or even introducing it to the standard models.
Improved Battery Life: With rumors of more efficient chips and bigger batteries, the iPhone 17 could offer extended usage time compared to its predecessors.

Titanium Build: Apple might move to a titanium frame for better durability and a lighter feel, especially for the Pro models.

Periscope Camera Lens: There’s buzz about Apple adopting a periscope-style zoom camera for better optical zoom capabilities, similar to tech from competitors like Samsung.

Upgraded A18 Chip: As with every new iPhone, the 17 is expected to feature the latest Apple chip—likely the A18—which promises improved speed and efficiency.
iOS Features: One leaker has hinted that one of the iPhone 17 Pro’s colors might somehow align with the Liquid Glass design language introduced in the iOS 26 update. With the release of iOS 26, expect deep integration of software and hardware to deliver new features, including enhanced AI, improved privacy settings, and better multitasking capabilities.
